Copywriting Services
New to this site? Fill in your name and email to your right (where it says "Free Copywriting Tips"), and I'll send you a (semi) daily copywriting tip each and every week. Plus, you'll also get a FREE copy of my advanced copywriting eBook... "The Copywriter's Crib Sheet." Your information is 100% safe, and you can leave at any time.
Below are the copywriting services I provide and roughly what they cost.
Availability is limited, and I am extremely careful about projects I work on (and the marketers I work with).
So if you are in a hurry, are on a tight budget, or sell a product/service that is low quality, then I am not the right copywriter for you.
On the other hand, if you and I are a good “fit” — then we might be able to do some business.
The prices listed below are rough averages, and each project is different. If you have any questions, contact me via email or at 815-425-4483.
Direct Response Copywriting Services
I am NOT the world’s cheapest copywriter.
I am not the fastest copywriter, either.
It usually takes me 30-60 days to write an ad. I sometimes require 100% of my fee up front (if I can’t find anyone to vouch for you). And I am much more concerned about serving your customers and making you money than I am stroking anyone’s ego.
Some of my past and present clients include:
- Ken McCarthy 7-figure copywriter, early Internet marketing pioneer, and creator of the famed “System Seminar”
- Ewen Chia Often called the Internet’s #1 “super affiliate” by today’s top Internet marketers
- Michael Senoff Top marketing consultant and owner of hardtofindseminars.com
- Mike Dillard Multi-million dollar info-marketer and network marketing trainer — also consults Robert Kiyosaki’s website team with their Internet marketing
- Captain Chris Pizzo World leader in self defense education.
I have also gotten a bunch of testimonials from fellow copywriters and colleagues — some of whose own fees make mine look downright puny.
Anyway, while not all my ads have been winners, the vast majority were.
And, unlike a lot of copywriters, I do not beat my chest and take all the credit for those that were winners.
Why?
Because “copy” is actually a small part of your ad’s success.
It’s #3 or #4 on the sales letter success “totem pole.”
If your list and/or traffic aren’t right, if your offer is weak or un-targeted, and if you have no positioning whatsoever, then the only thing a “killer” ad will do is kill your ad budget.
In fact, without the above elements, your ad will die on the vine no matter how good your copy is.
So if you’re looking for a “savior” for your business, don’t look for a copywriter.
And especially don’t look at me.
Great copy is a sales multiplier — and my copy CAN make you a lot of money.
But only if you have the above elements in place, first.
And that’s why, as part of my copywriting services, I also help you with those “multiplier” components.
I’ll help make sure that your offer is on target.
That your positioning is right.
And that all the other “non-copywriting” parts of your marketing are lined up and running on all cylinders.
By the way, as I mentioned, I am very picky about who I work with.
So please do NOT take it personally if I don’t accept you as a client.
I am only one person and cannot work with everyone.
And there are some products and markets I don’t “mesh” well with.
In those cases, I will refer you to a copywriter who can better help you.
Price: Starts at $8,500 - $10,000
To see if you qualify, email or call 815-425-4483. Tell me about you, your business, your market and what your goals are for your promotion. Samples available upon request.

Audio Infomercials
Here’s something very few copywriters know or want to admit:
Most people HATE to read.
Heck, even 42% of college graduates — the most “educated” people in society — never read another book after graduation.
And one of the reasons so many people hate reading is because it is actually very hard for the average person. It’s not a matter of intelligence, either. Even today’s most advanced neurologists can’t explain how it is possible for human beings to communicate with each other via the written word.
So what does that mean for you and your sales?
Simply this:
If you want to get the maximum number of people buying your product, you MUST use multi-media — especially audio. There’s a lot of talk about video right now. And it’s true that video is extremely powerful and should be used, too.
But audio is a “must.”
Not only is it fast and dirt-cheap to create, but it’s also the most “forgiving” way to deliver a message.
Here’s what I mean by that:
Your busy and “always-on-the-go” prospects do not have to sit still to read or watch a screen to access audio. They can listen to audio while driving to work. While doing the dishes. While walking the dog. Even while fiddling around in the office doing other things.
And each time that audio is listened to, the benefits of buying from you are reinforced over and over again — until there is simply no choice for them but to buy from you… and you alone.
Best of all:
Audio sales pitches (when done right) are “wrapped” up in clothes most people are conditioned to believe and trust. This is mostly due to the explosion of talk radio interviews and shows. People don’t really feel like they are being “pitched” (if you do it right). They feel like they are getting in on some fascinating information about their problem.
And because of that, your sales message is MUCH more likely to be listened to and ultimately acted upon.
But here’s the problem:
Almost nobody — especially copywriters stuck in “text-only mode” — knows how to use audio effectively.
Sure, it looks easy.
Just record a call with an expert or put on a tele-seminar and — presto! — “instant sales pitch”, right?
If only it were that easy.
Truth is, there’s a whole “science” behind creating audio that sells. Just like there’s a science behind writing ads that sell or creating videos that sell.
You have to know the right questions to ask, how to get people literally in a “trance” while listening, how to properly “disguise” your audio so it doesn’t sound or feel like a sales pitch, and how to get people eagerly responding at the end — credit card in hand.
Anyway, unlike most copywriters, I actually use audio myself for my own products and services.
In fact, when I use audio to sell affiliate products, I often get a higher conversion than affiliates I’m competing against (even those with bigger names and influence than me).
Frankly, I have seen very large ticket products sell almost totally on the strength of a good audio infomercial.
And if I had a choice between a long sales letter or audio infomercial (with written transcripts), I’d choose the audio and transcripts hands down.
Price: $2,995 — includes fully-edited MP3 audio infomercial and written transcript.

Press Releases & Media Coaching
Want to become a “household name” in your industry or niche?
Would you like to expose your product to tens of thousands of potential customers without spending a penny on advertising?
Would you like to give yourself an instant advantage over even your most well-known and cash-flush competition?
Good!
Because I have a lot of experience (with one of my own products) getting dirt-cheap media publicity. And now you can use that experience to get YOURSELF in the media by having me create a nationwide publicity campaign — even multiple campaigns — for your product.
Media publicity (when done right) will inoculate you — like a vaccine — against the rising tide of consumer skepticism and competing advertising.
It can also make you a virtual celebrity in your market, too.
This is no joke.
Once you get on the radio, on the TV or in the newspapers, you automatically become an instant celebrity — with the implied endorsement of the media.
And crazy as it sounds, in today’s “celebrity-obsessed” culture, people shower celebrities with much more attention, respect and money than they do “experts.”
Plus, media publicity gives you some extremely powerful “ready made” marketing pieces prepared for you — free. These are in the form of newspaper (or magazine) articles, radio interviews and TV interviews.
And make no mistake:
Copies of these articles and interviews are FAR more effective than any “advertising” you can buy.
It’s called the “halo effect.”
People believe what they read in their favorite newspaper, hear on their favorite radio station, or see on their favorite TV news program. Plus, these media pieces are “timeless” — they can be used by you forever, and for any other product and service you sell.
In addition to writing your press releases, I will also coach you on what to say when the media people call you and how to conduct an interview.
Fact is, there is a bit of a “game” you have to play when talking to reporters.
They want to make sure you’re “for real” and will be a good interview. You can’t really blame them (think of the hundreds of “nut jobs” these people have to deal with).
But if you know what to say, and how to say it, they will welcome you with open arms and anxiously help you sell your products and services in their newspapers, radio shows and TV shows.
And because of this, I will provide you free media coaching when you have me write your press releases. PR agencies charge thousands for what I’m practically handing you on a silver platter.
By the way, I only write offline press releases to be sent to REAL radio stations, TV stations, newspapers and magazines.
You can still use these press releases with online services if you choose.
But you are much better off getting into offline media. Not only because of the “halo effect”, but because most offline newspapers and magazines are online anyway — and you will appear in their online publications naturally.
Price: $350 per press release or $3,500 for 12. Includes press release campaign strategy and media coaching.

Auto-Responder Emails
I’ve written hundreds of auto-responder emails for both myself and clients on everything from martial arts and dog training to copywriting and marketing consulting.
A good auto-responder sequence can squeeze dozens of extra sales you wouldn’t see otherwise. If you sell a high ticket product or service it is especially important.
Price: $350 per email — $3,000 for a campaign of 10.

If you qualify, you can order everything above in one discounted package — sales letter, 12 press releases, audio infomercial and 10 follow up emails — for only $17,995 (a $2,700 savings).

Marketing & Sales Letter Critiques
Some pretty big name copywriters and marketers have hired me for this special critique service — including “Million Dollar Mike” Morgan (who writes copy for some of the biggest names on the Internet), Matt Marshall, Michael Senoff and Ewen Chia.
This is a special service where I read through your ad line by line (usually 4 or 5 times) — and give you tips, ideas and suggestions about all the different ways you can improve both your copywriting AND marketing (if your marketing is off kilter, your copy won’t matter no matter how good it is).
If you later decide to hire me to write a full ad (or rewrite your ad) for the same product, I will deduct the critique price from the fee.
Price: $895
Starving Marketer’s Special
This is for marketers who have limited funds to hire a copywriter.
I have access to a small group of copywriters who are new (but very talented). And while they won’t write a “million dollar” ad for you — they do write ads that pull orders, and are supervised by a world class copywriter friend of mine (he will even split test your ad for you as part of his service).
Obviously, you cannot expect a “champagne” level ad for beer prices.
And while it’s true these copywriters are “beer” level… they are at least imported beer
