Below are 4 copywriting resources anyone can use to write better ads.
They won’t cost you a penny.
But if you apply what they teach — they could very well make you a bundle.
Let’s get down to business:
1. Jim Straw’s Newsletter
I don’t know about you… but I’m a HUGE fan of Jim Straw.
He’s one of the few “for real” experts out there.
A true marketing legend.
I actually had a chance to JV with him a few weeks back — and he’s brilliant.
You can read a great copywriting article he wrote at:
www.businesslyceum.com/Jul07.html
Definitely worth printing out and studying.
2. Ken McCarthy’s Free Advanced Copywriting Tele-Seminar
Ken doesn’t bill himself as a “copywriter.”
So you won’t hear him talked about in the usual copywriting “echo chambers”.
But since his ads and teachings get rave reviews from guys like Dan Kennedy and Gary Bencivenga, something’s going on.
You can listen to a 2-part advanced copywriting tele-seminar he did a few years ago at:
http://freeiq.com/copywritingclinicphonecallpart12?sp=10503
http://freeiq.com/copywritingclinicphonecallpart21?sp=10503
I can’t imagine anyone (”newbie” or seasoned pro) walking away from this free 80-minute seminar without being a better copywriter.
Not only does Ken (as he says) “take off the copywriting training wheels” for you… but you’ll also get some deep analysis on what makes a great sales letter “tick”.
I’m actually surprised Ken gives this away.
And it’s just a taste of what’s in his full copywriting course (the best I’ve seen) at:
www.secretcopywritingtactics.com
3. Ryan Healy’s Blog
Ryan just oozes great copywriting ideas.
We’ve been in the same “master mind” group for the past few months and he always reveals something unique and interesting I’d never heard or tried before.
You can read his teachings at:
I read his blog every day. And each and every time I find some kind of awesome copywriting gem I can use.
Also, if you’re on my blog “alerts” list (see upper right hand corner of this page) watch your email. I’ll be grilling Ryan about his copywriting secrets in an interview in the coming weeks.
I’ll keep you posted.
And last (but certainly not least!)…
4. Mr. Subtle’s Rants
Who’s “Mr. Subtle”?
He’s one of those rare people who’s not only a marketing whiz… but one heck of a designer, too.
In fact, I recently hired him to design a book cover that completely blew me away.
He not only captured the idea of the book… but the emotion as well.
You can get your hands on his marketing rants 100% free at:
http://www.copywritersboard.com/members/mr-subtle.html
There’s so much value packed in his marketing rants you’ll probably want to save or print them out.
Anyway, that’s all for today.
I hope you get at least as much value from these websites I have.

ya gotta love the Grand Panjadrum, Jim Straw
