Why “Savage” Storytelling Makes More Sales

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again…

Storytelling is one of the single most profitable skillz you can learn in marketing — whether you do your “thing” writing sales copy, shooting videos, yapping away in podcasts, wowing people on tele-seminars, or simply haunting forums and social media sites.

And recently, I was asked about my story-telling “influences.”

Any special books?

Novels?

Authors?

There are lots of people you can learn from.

One of my biggest influences I talk about in the Street-Smart Email System is talk radio host Michael Savage. Now, he’s kind of a far right-wing guy and definitely not everyone’s cup of tea (especially if you happen to swing left). But there are VERY few people who can tell stories like he can. This dude can take the most ordinary, bland, “plain vanilla” things that happen during a day and turn them into a captivating, riveting story.

Frankly, his books are like story-telling “field manuals.”

Especially his newer one “Psychological Nudity.”

But worry ye not.

It’s not technically a “political” book.

It’s a collection of 75 stories talking (mostly) about simple life lessons he learned as a kid, or from his dog or while eating in a restaurant, etc.

Anyway, Savage is easily one of the great story-tellers of our time.

And I can’t recommend it enough.

Just “google” the title and you’ll find it.
