I wrote last month about why\u00a0I don\u2019t worry about it.<\/p>\n<p>But, I got a good question about the customer service side.<\/p>\n<p>Here it is, with my reply:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>I really appreciate you addressing this and I certainly &#8220;get&#8221; your\u00a0perspective on it, HOWEVER, What about when those tabs cause issues\u00a0with people not seeing (at least in a timely manner) replies to\u00a0support tickets they&#8217;ve sent in??<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>They end up all kinds of pissed off when they think they&#8217;re being\u00a0ignored, even to the point of refunding on lifetime memberships and\u00a0canceling monthly members.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I run the support desk and I often have issues with my replies\u00a0ending up in the &#8220;Social&#8221; tab if I&#8217;m resending them the link to\u00a0join our private Fb group, or maybe the promotions tab depending on\u00a0what other links I may need to send, or even their spam folder.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Do you ever have this issue or heard of others who do?\u00a0 Any\u00a0thoughts??<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>My advice:<\/p>\n<p>Send them a real live piece of mail (with a stamp and\u00a0everything) right when they buy, telling them how to contact you\u00a0via phone and how to change their gmail preferences about the\u00a0promotions folder, etc.<\/p>\n<p>If they drama queen after that?<\/p>\n<p>Tell &#8217;em they&#8217;re dismissed, and find a better customer.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve had to do that a few times.<\/p>\n<p>And, believe you me, you&#8217;ll be doing yourself a favor.<\/p>\n<p>Easy peasy Japanesey.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmail Players\u201d info here:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.EmailPlayers.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.EmailPlayers.com<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ben Settle<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let\u2019s rap about Gmail\u2019s \u201cpromotions\u201d tab.
