I recently started playing an SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System \u2014 did you notice the jeenius behind saving myself time by just typing \u201cSNES\u201d instead of the full \u201cSuper Nintendo Entertainment System\u201d?) game called:<\/p>\n
\u201cFinal Fantasy 2\u201d<\/p>\n
Now, I\u2019m a huge fan of the first one (for NES).<\/p>\n
But this game is ten time bigger, ten times more fun, and, yes, (to coin a popular goo-roo fanboy phrase) ten times more epic than the NES version.<\/p>\n
What?<\/p>\n
Who cares?<\/p>\n
Why am I wasting your valuable Facebook time with this email?<\/p>\n
The answer is simple:<\/p>\n
I was looking at a speed walkthrough (i.e. game cheats, whatever\u2026) of the game online. And, I saw this write up of someone who had been playing the same game for 10 (TEN) years straight. And, he\u2019d come up with ways to beat the game extremely fast.<\/p>\n
And, yes, there\u2019s a point to this.<\/p>\n
Have some patience, yo?<\/p>\n
At the end of his game walkthrough he said:<\/p>\n
“People who are good at a game make it look easy.
\nPeople who have mastered a game
\nmake it look like they’re cheating
\nwhen they’re playing normally.
\nAnd us grandmasters
\nmake you wonder
\nwhat the hell just happened!”<\/p>\n
^^ yes.<\/p>\n
This applies to marketing, too.<\/p>\n
Think Gary Halbert.<\/p>\n
Gary Bencivenga.<\/p>\n
Bob Bly (whazzup Bob!)<\/p>\n
Matt Furey.<\/p>\n
Brian Kurtz.<\/p>\n
Dan Kennedy.<\/p>\n
And the list goes on.<\/p>\n
These guys are so friggin\u2019 good at what they do, I often wonder how the hellz they do it. What\u2019s their secret? What do they do the rest of us don\u2019t? What did they do to master their art and craft to such an extent that it seems almost like magic and makes the rest of look like mere plebes?<\/p>\n
The answer?<\/p>\n
I can\u2019t speak for these guys.<\/p>\n
But, my guess is:<\/p>\n
Hard work.<\/p>\n
Consistency.<\/p>\n
