Let’s talk about how to get people to *enjoy* the act of giving you money.<\/p>\n
It’s a lot easier than you think.<\/p>\n
And, why so serious?<\/p>\n
Take Hollywood, for example:<\/p>\n
Most people don\u2019t see \u201cThe Empire Strikes Back\u201d before seeing \u201cStar Wars\u201d. Why? Because you don\u2019t really know what\u2019s going on or get the full context of part 2 if you don\u2019t see part 1 first. So you watch \u201cStar Wars\u201d first. And, if you like it, you are going to automatically want to see (i.e. pay for) \u201cThe Empire Strikes Back\u201d (no sales pitch necessary) and then, if you like that, \u201cReturn Of The Jedi\u201d. So by seeing the FIRST movie off the bat, and not jumping the sequence, you are almost a shoe-in to buy tickets to the next two movies.<\/p>\n
No sales pitch or persuasion arm-twisting necessary.<\/p>\n
Another example is Karate schools.<\/p>\n
You don\u2019t just walk in and say, \u201ccan I have a green belt please?\u201d<\/p>\n
Do that and they\u2019ll round house kick you right out the door.<\/p>\n
Instead, you (and everyone else — no exceptions) start with the WHITE belt. And then you progress to the next color, and the next color — and, like with \u201cStar Wars\u201d — you know exactly where you are in the sequence at all times.<\/p>\n
You know what to buy first.<\/p>\n
You know what to buy next.<\/p>\n
And, you know what to buy down the line.<\/p>\n
Many of these back end sales are made already in advance (before you even create the products, in some cases).<\/p>\n
Another example:<\/p>\n
Restaurants.<\/p>\n
Go to any restaurant. The first \u201csale\u201d is seating you at the table. You can\u2019t order your food and eat it while waiting to be seated. Then, when you\u2019re seated you get an appetizer. Then the meal. Then the dessert. Then coffee, etc. It\u2019s a VERY specific sequence designed to extract as much money out of your hungry little hands as possible.<\/p>\n
And you know what?<\/p>\n
That\u2019s okay.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s kinda why you\u2019re there \u2014 to eat, drink, and be merry.<\/p>\n
You don\u2019t resent it, you *enjoy* it.<\/p>\n
Yes, my little fledgling, you enjoy spending that money. Just like you eagerly whip out the cash to see \u201cEmpire Strikes Back\u201d after \u201cStar Wars\u201d, etc. And if you use it correctly, your list will look forward to buying from you, too.<\/p>\n
Like I said yesterday, Amazon also does this.<\/p>\n
As does Apple Computer.<\/p>\n
And, yes, even the Catholic Church.<\/p>\n
All these giant monster revenue machines do this.<\/p>\n
But nary an Internet marketer does.<\/p>\n
Why?<\/p>\n
Because they don\u2019t know how.<\/p>\n
