Here\u2019s a little ditty we can all learn from:<\/p>\n
When I moved out of The Burgle and back to the coast in Bandon a couple weeks ago, I had the car packed up as much as possible. And, that entire day I kept noticing my car doors wouldn\u2019t lock. I\u2019d push the button to lock them, then they\u2019d suddenly unlock on their own again. The only way I could lock them was by using my car\u2019s remote to lock them. Later that day, after I moved all my business stuff into my downtown Bandon office, my dad and step mom came to say hi (they live in the same town). They wanted a ride back home, so I told \u2018em to hop in, and I moved my backpack and a couple other things in the trunk to make room.<\/p>\n
Then, I noticed my trunk wouldn\u2019t close.<\/p>\n
I\u2019d slam it shut and it\u2019d unlatch itself.<\/p>\n
Over and over.<\/p>\n
It was driving me nutzo.<\/p>\n
First the car wouldn\u2019t lock then the trunk wouldn\u2019t close.<\/p>\n
Was there an electrical problem in the car?<\/p>\n
Was something amiss?<\/p>\n
I didn\u2019t know \u2014 but I slowly drove back with the trunk ajar.<\/p>\n
The next morning I decide to Google it.<\/p>\n
I looked up my car’s exact make and model and typed in \u201ctrunk won\u2019t close.\u201d<\/p>\n
Well, it turns out elBenbo\u2019s car is smarter than he is.<\/p>\n
The reason it wouldn\u2019t lock was because you can\u2019t lock my car if the keys are inside. And, my extra remote was inside my backpack in the back seat. And, later, when I tossed the backpack in the trunk, it was in there, and you can\u2019t close the trunk, either, if the keys are inside.<\/p>\n
Doh!<\/p>\n
Anyway, the point of all this?<\/p>\n
It reminds me of a quote from the book \u201cObvious Adams\u201d:<\/p>\n
“The solution, when found, will be obvious.”<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
And, guess what?<\/p>\n
