I\u2019ve been noticing a disturbing trend lately \u2014 even amongst some of my \u201cEmail Players\u201d subscribers.<\/p>\n
(Who should know better).<\/p>\n
And that trend is\u2026<\/p>\n
Not selling in every email.<\/p>\n
Why is this disturbing?<\/p>\n
Because, for one thing, in most (not all \u2014 there are exceptions to this, but generally speaking\u2026) cases if you don’t plug a product or service in your emails (or something that will directly and clearly lead to the sale of one of your products or services), you just completely wasted your time writing the email.<\/p>\n
And secondly:<\/p>\n
There are people who think they are being “nice guys” by not selling.<\/p>\n
They’re not.<\/p>\n
They’re being complete and utter douche bags.<\/p>\n
Listen, I\u2019ve said it before, I\u2019ll say it again:<\/p>\n
(And I\u2019ll KEEP saying this forever\u2026)<\/p>\n
If you have something to sell that can benefit peoples’ lives, then it’s your moral and ethical duty to let them at least know about its existence in every email.<\/p>\n
Frankly, it\u2019s selfish NOT to let them know.<\/p>\n
After all\u2026<\/p>\n
People are going to spend money on something if they have a problem they want to fix\u2026 so isn\u2019t it better they buy your righteous product or service rather than your inferior competition\u2019s?<\/p>\n
How does it help either of you to keep your product a secret?<\/p>\n
Moral of the story?<\/p>\n
Sell your list something.<\/p>\n
Every day.<\/p>\n
And, do it without apology or regret.<\/p>\n
Only then a douche bag won\u2019t you be\u2026<\/p>\n
