Let\u2019s talk politics.<\/p>\n
(ooooh yeah!)<\/p>\n
But first, a disclaimer:<\/p>\n
I couldn’t care less who wins.<\/p>\n
Frankly, the US is so far over the cliff financially and has such a blatant disregard for human life or the rights and safety of its people (legalized murder in the form of abortion, idiotic anti-gun laws that prevent people from defending themselves, corrupt bureaucrats that routinely send innocent people to be raped or executed in prison, lopsided family courts, an abusive tax code and banking system that turns productive people into slaves of the state, a medical system designed to keep people sick, and so on)\u2026 nothing is going to stop the inevitable collapse and ensuing chaos that will result.<\/p>\n
(Ain\u2019t I just a ray of sunshine today?)<\/p>\n
But, here\u2019s my prediction anyway:<\/p>\n
The winning candidate will be whoever has the most charisma.<\/p>\n
And by charisma, I don’t mean just physical attractiveness.<\/p>\n
I am talking about the dictionary definition:<\/p>\n
“A compelling attractiveness or charm that can inspire devotion in others”<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
It’s not who has the best economic policy.<\/p>\n
Not who promises the most free stuff.<\/p>\n
And, not even who has the most money in their campaign war chest.<\/p>\n
It’s about charisma.<\/p>\n
Here’s why I say this:<\/p>\n
Thanks to our celebrity-obsessed culture in the US, one has to but look at all the elections going back to JFK when they first started televising debates. Kennedy won over Nixon in large part because he was more charismatic than Tricky Dick. In fact, many pundits have observed \u2014 and I agree, so that makes it all true \u2014 that Nixon would have won had it not been for a *televised* debate. (Incidentally, I also remember once in a political science class the teacher was saying how there\u2019s no way a guy like Abraham Lincoln could win an election today simply because \u201che was just too damn ugly\u201d \u2014 and I would have to agree.)<\/p>\n
After that:<\/p>\n

- Nixon was slightly more charismatic than LBJ.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n
- Carter was more charismatic than Gerald Ford.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n
- Reagan was more charismatic than Carter and Mondale.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n
- Clinton was more charismatic than both Bush I and Dole.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\n
- Bush II was slightly more charismatic than Gore depending on which brand of kool-aid you drink (an argument can be made for the opposite \u2014 which is one reason why I believe it was such a close election). And then, Bush II was more charismatic than Kerry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

- Obama was more charismatic than McCain and Romney (and Hillary).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Which brings us to this election.<\/p>\n
Who does elBenbo declare to be the most charismatic?<\/p>\n
And, thus, the winner?<\/p>\n
I would bet someone else\u2019s kidney it\u2019ll be Trump.<\/p>\n
Just like Obama has his \u201chope & change\u201d brand of charisma that got people fainting at his speeches\u2026 just like Bush II had his plain-talking cowboy brand of charisma\u2026 just like Reagan had his brand of wit & confidence-inspiring charisma\u2026 just like Clinton had his brand of smooth talking rapport-building charisma\u2026 Trump has a power-laden and non-needy \u201cI don\u2019t give a crap what anyone thinks\u201d brand of charisma people are obviously responding to if you look at how he’s dominated the polls above all the other Republicans for so long.<\/p>\n
What about Hillary?<\/p>\n
What about her?<\/p>\n
The Lizard Queen is pretty good at fooling the weak-minded (like, for example, people who actually think she’s being sincere when she suddenly speaks southern drawl when campaigning in the south, which is always amusing). But, to a lot of folks (even a lot of liberals) she has about as much charisma as the sex-crazed grandma in my \u201cVampire Apocalypse\u201d novel.<\/p>\n
Now, I\u2019m not saying Hillary can\u2019t win.<\/p>\n
With the Clinton Machine anything is possible.<\/p>\n
And, of course, there’s also ideology (democrats voting the party line no matter how repulsive the candidate).\u00a0But, unless something freaky happens to kill Trump’s charisma (like they catch him\u00a0in bed with a farm animal or something)\u2026 and if it\u2019s even a somewhat close race\u2026 the most charismatic candidate will win.<\/p>\n
And, that candidate in this election is Trump.<\/p>\n
So there you have it.<\/p>\n
My prediction on who will win.<\/p>\n
Forget policy.<\/p>\n
Forget debates.<\/p>\n
Forget the media.<\/p>\n
Forget your own emotions about the candidates, straw man arguments, and biases.<\/p>\n
Forget all that.<\/p>\n
Like it or lump it, he or she with the most charisma has won every time in the last 40 or so years. And, it shalt be no different this time around, either.<\/p>\n
All right.<\/p>\n
Enough politics.<\/p>\n
Let’s talk bid’niz:<\/p>\n

It\u2019s NOT based on my personality or anyone else\u2019s.<\/p>\n
People dig the real you and not the facade.<\/p>\n
Clients dig it too. (if\u2019n you want clients).<\/p>\n
And, yes, customers dig on that as well.<\/p>\n
