True story:<\/p>\n
Before my ex-copywriting apprentice starting dating me, she had been seeing a local Burgle winemaker I still dig talking to and think is a pretty cool bloke. And, one of the things they would do is, they would get together on Sundays to discuss ways to help market his business. And, while he probably had \u201cNetflix & Chill\u201d on his mind, what he actually got was elBenbo & Chill since she would put my podcast on and make him listen to it.<\/p>\n
The result?<\/p>\n
She realized she wanted to date me instead.<\/p>\n
And, she broke it off with him.<\/p>\n
Ouch.<\/p>\n
Reminds me of the Joker\u2019s line in \u201cDark Knight\u201d:<\/p>\n
\u201cEven to a guy like me that\u2019s cold\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
But, can you blame her?<\/p>\n
I mean, what dame can possibly resist elBenbo\u2019s crotchety, insensitive, and \u201cGrinch-like\u201d personality? What chick wouldn\u2019t melt from my extreme-reclusive ways where I actually *like* when a girl gives me the silent treatment, and can go days (DAYS I tell you!) without so-much as talking to anyone else, preferring my own company instead, watching superhero movies with my dog in my lair all day? What sane, intelligent, and self-respecting woman can possibly withstand my charms as I bark orders, allow my short temper to flare over inconsequential things, and selfishly make demands (regardless of how inconvenient) for her time at the drop of a hat, while I greedily hoard all my time for myself?<\/p>\n

\u201cYou must really love yourself to put up with him\u2026\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Anyway, yes, there\u2019s a point to this.<\/p>\n
And, it\u2019s a jim-dandy profitable one, too.<\/p>\n
In fact, what you\u2019ve read about my ornery ways can make you (regardless of *your* unique personality) a lot more sales, become far more charismatic (as far as people wanting to read your emails and buy your products), and have a much bigger audience.<\/p>\n
