The Dos Equis Man is to be phased out of their advertising.<\/p>\n
Why?<\/p>\n
It certainly ain\u2019t because of low sales. In fact, Heineken (who owns Dos Equis) says they nearly tripled its business over the past 9 years since they started running their ads about the most interesting man in the world. They even admit that, in the past year *alone*, sales grew 10.2%.<\/p>\n
Can you believe that?<\/p>\n
One of the ONLY examples of big corporation ads worth studying (especially for writing emails) and they are going to kill the ads?<\/p>\n
Who stops running ads that *grow* sales?<\/p>\n
Their reason is, to \u201crevamp\u201d their ads for a younger generation.<\/p>\n
Dumb.<\/p>\n
In fact, I\u2019d bet your left kidney their sales tank immediately.<\/p>\n
But, whaddya gonna do?<\/p>\n
So RIP to the Dos Equis Man ads.<\/p>\n
