I think I found yet another reason for certain high priced coaches and mastermind companies to despise the very air elBenbo breathes.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s what I mean:<\/p>\n
Last weekend I posted a testimonial from copywriter and \u201cEmail Players\u201d subscriber April Dykman about how she\u2019s gotten more hardcore usable, practical, and, yes, profitable info from my free podcast (which won\u2019t be free much longer, but still\u2026) than tens of thousands of dollars worth of coaching and masterminds she\u2019s invested in.<\/p>\n
And guess what?<\/p>\n
A couple days ago, another \u201cEmail Players\u201d subscriber said:<\/p>\n
(Inspired by my \u201cBeaten up by the Email Dummy” email)<\/p>\n
\u201cThis email actually helped me decide to not join a 30k mastermind group which I was on the fence about and instead invest in more products. Your products as well.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Ooooh yeah, baby!<\/p>\n
Stole away another one!<\/p>\n
I don’t know the details on the above mastermind one way or the other.<\/p>\n
But, his comment got me thinking about some\u00a0of these other high priced deals out there.<\/p>\n
And that is this:<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve long been railing about all the wannabe experts popping up on flakebook over the last several years. It\u2019s gotten to the point where being charismatic, physically attractive, or just having a fun & entertaining personality is enough to sell people on buying high priced products and services (and masterminds, coaching, etc) regardless of how little (if any) real-world knowledge and experience they have. Just throw up some videos, talk about some syrupy fluffpreneur mindset nonsense, drop some social proof and:<\/p>\n
Bam!<\/p>\n
Instant guru.<\/p>\n
No experience required.<\/p>\n
Don\u2019t believe me?<\/p>\n
Simply lurk on flakebook a while.<\/p>\n
Like anything else, when you\u2019re looking for it, you start to see it everywhere.<\/p>\n
Anyway, it’s amusing to think about.<\/p>\n
Probably not so amusing for people who buy into it, though.<\/p>\n
