Sunday I decided to read my main flakebook timeline for the first time in weeks, for sheer shyts & giggles and to see what the proles are up to.<\/p>\n
Anyway, so I start scrolling.<\/p>\n

Through a couple weeks\u2019 worth of posts.<\/p>\n
And you know what stood out most?<\/p>\n
People are mush cookie-ing out harder than ever lately.<\/p>\n
The \u201coh-woe is me!\u201d is so strong I\u2019m wondering if it\u2019s being done as a tactic\/technique \u2014 like the asking stoopid questions thing to get \u201cengagement.\u201d Frankly, it\u2019s so blatant I would not be shocked if some social media goo-roo coach is telling people to act like complete poosies to get more engagement, and this is the new trend.<\/p>\n
(Since then, a few people told me this IS what\u2019s going on.)<\/p>\n
Yeesh.<\/p>\n
Reminds me a few years ago, when I was hanging with my ex-copywriting apprentice (way before I had made her my apprentice) and one of our friends was complaining about something.<\/p>\n
I don\u2019t remember about what, exactly.<\/p>\n
But I do remember her reaching into her purse and handing him a tampon.<\/p>\n

Anyway, fun times in Flakebook land.<\/p>\n
The mush cookies apocalypse has erupted.<\/p>\n
And you know what that means?<\/p>\n
Simply *not* being a mush cookie will get you noticed.<\/p>\n
Get you listened to.<\/p>\n
And, get you bought from.<\/p>\n
It couldn\u2019t be easier.<\/p>\n

One of the things it teaches is an infamous theory created by a psychologist (who has since joined the choir invisible) that lets you pound out emails people can\u2019t resist buying from.<\/p>\n
Including people who think they don\u2019t want to be sold anything.<\/p>\n
