Couple weeks ago while speaking at Ray Higdon\u2019s personal branding bootcamp I had lunch with the authors of the smash hit book \u201cGo For No”.<\/p>\n
I\u2019d been a fan of their for years.<\/p>\n
And, afterwards they sent me their book.<\/p>\n
In the envelope was a nice card and a smaller card, written in a child\u2019s handwriting, that said:<\/p>\n
One day I asked my daddy for a cookie but my my daddy didn\u2019t let me have a cookie. So I asked for a cookie but he didn\u2019t let me have a cookie. So I asked for a cookie and he didn\u2019t let me have a cookie. So I asked for a cookie he let me have a cookie. The end.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
I wrote them back and immediately said:<\/p>\n
That is probably the single best example of the power of daily emails (or any kind of relentless follow up selling anything).<\/p>\n
So simple.<\/p>\n
So easy.<\/p>\n
So simple and easy even a child can grasp it \u2014 even if the average opportunity-minded goo-roo fanboy looking for “cool ninja tricks, man!\u201d will never grasp it, constantly floating from one technique, tactic, and trick to another.<\/p>\n
Selling ain\u2019t complicated.<\/p>\n
Nor should it be.<\/p>\n
Which is why my email methodology works so well for so many.<\/p>\n
It ain\u2019t based on complexity.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s based on simplicity.<\/p>\n
The kind of simplicity anyone can use to start writing emails your list eagerly looks *forward* to reading and buying from \u2014 day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year, and, yes, decade after decade.<\/p>\n
If you\u2019re ready to let go of complicated it can work for you.<\/p>\n
If not?<\/p>\n
Then get ye behind me.<\/p>\n
The rest of us have work to do.<\/p>\n
