Never go to bed mad at each other\u2026 stay up and fight<\/p>\n
One of my favorite books is \u201cThe 48 Laws Of Power\u201d written by one of my favorite authors Robert Greene.<\/p>\n
And, if you are one of these people worried about getting \u201cengagement\u201d in your emails, social media, podcasts, blog posts, whatever it is you do\u2026 he tweeted something I\u2019ve been doing for years without even realizing it makes a great way to create content by design.<\/p>\n
Anyway, what did his magic tweet say?<\/p>\n
This:<\/p>\n
\u201cBring in people with different viewpoints and encourage them to fight it out.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
It\u2019s why I love picking fights with accepted goo-roo dogma.<\/p>\n
I love a good fight \u2014 whether it\u2019s me fighting someone else, or watching two (or more others) fight. And, yes, my Horde (email list, secret Facebook group members, podcast audience, customers, etc loves it too, which is why I am always eager to deliver it to them.<\/p>\n
And mark my words, my little droogie:<\/p>\n
Your list loves it, too.<\/p>\n
Oh, some may whine and complain about it being \u201cnegative\u201d and offending the feminist goddess of the crystal bra or whatever. But people are starving for substance. For options for thinking differently. And, yes, for sport.<\/p>\n
Immoral of the story?<\/p>\n
Reminds me of a joke I once heard about married couples angry before bed:<\/p>\n
\u201cDon\u2019t go to bed angry, stay up and fight!\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Peace is boring and unhelpful a lot of the times in marketing.<\/p>\n
Thus, I say encourage fighting.<\/p>\n
Your audience will thank you, and so will your bank account.<\/p>\n
