{"id":12769,"date":"2018-02-23T09:09:31","date_gmt":"2018-02-23T17:09:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/?p=12769"},"modified":"2018-02-23T09:09:31","modified_gmt":"2018-02-23T17:09:31","slug":"ravings-of-an-ad-man-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/ravings-of-an-ad-man-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Ravings Of An Ad Man!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently, I got to pondering about how to use email to build a freakishly strong bond with your email list (or, in any other media you use to sell in \u2014 video, social media, whatever.)<\/p>\n<p>For me, all roads lead to building &amp; strengthening the relationship first.<\/p>\n<p>And, all other things, come second to that.<\/p>\n<p>Like, for example, claims, benefits, facts, copywriting choke holds and tactics, even proof &amp; credibility \u2014 I believe those things exist to serve the building and strengthening of the relationship, and not the other way around.<\/p>\n<p>All those things are fine and dandy.<\/p>\n<p>But, only if they&#8217;re building the relationship.<\/p>\n<p>(If not, they&#8217;re just there to stroke the writer&#8217;s own ego and impress the copywriting fanboys.)<\/p>\n<p>The reasons for this are because the tighter your relationship with someone is, the more they will trust you, and, when ready, buy what you\u2019re selling if it\u2019s something they want and can pay for.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, here\u2019s why I bring this up:<\/p>\n<p>I decided to slip a special report into the March \u201cEmail Players\u201d issue called:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u201cRavings Of An Adman!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These are stream-of-conscious mini-topics (a few pages, give or take) I\u2019ll be inserting into issues whenever possible henceforth.
