\u201cDoes rambling and giggling for 75% of a webinar increase sales?\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Let\u2019s face it:<\/p>\n
Nothing makes sales and shows respect for peoples\u2019 time like spending the first 8 scheduled minutes of a webinar constantly stopping the talk to welcome everyone on as they come in late. I hear tell some people in the coaching world actually teach doing this for \u201cengagement\u201d or whatever. But, one reason to study copywriting beyond the free Facebook coach\u2019s livestream superficial level is to develop a healthy paranoia of just how low attention spans are, and how intolerant people are to having their time wasted.<\/p>\n
Here\u2019s my rule of thumb on such things:<\/p>\n
Assume all it takes is one word (not even once sentence) to lose people.<\/p>\n
Do that and the whole presentation changes start to finish.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s good advice for email, too.<\/p>\n
Although, if you do email right, you can get away with a lot more slop.<\/p>\n
(Not much, though.)<\/p>\n
Anyway, that\u2019s free advice nobody will take.<\/p>\n
But, that doesn\u2019t stop me from giving it anyway.<\/p>\n
