{"id":13460,"date":"2019-02-25T06:30:21","date_gmt":"2019-02-25T14:30:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/?p=13460"},"modified":"2019-02-25T06:30:21","modified_gmt":"2019-02-25T14:30:21","slug":"the-amazing-list-building-secret-of-saint-gaga","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/the-amazing-list-building-secret-of-saint-gaga\/","title":{"rendered":"The Amazing List Building Secret Of Saint Gaga!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last month She-Who-Designs elBenbo\u2019s book covers Kia Arian wrote an email to her list about something Lady Gaga said in the news.<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, it was about Lady Gaga referring to herself as a Christian woman.<\/p>\n<p>And, even more specifically, a GOOD Christian woman.<\/p>\n<p>I found it a bit amusing, personally.<\/p>\n<p>But, for now, the lesson Kia taught is what was important:<\/p>\n<p>Lady Gaga was basically thrashing Vice President Pence, and because she was given a megaphone by the media, she was automatically (as Kia put it):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cDeemed authoritative enough to publish across national media.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And, I will add:<\/p>\n<p>Without needing to show any proof to back up her claims.<\/p>\n<p>To the proles in the media audiences, she was instantly granted that all-coveted \u201cpodium effect\u201d \u2014 which means, when you see someone at a podium talking, they are almost always automatically believed, no matter what horse shyt they may spout.<\/p>\n<p>Such is the power of media publicity.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t have to like it.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t have to respect it.<\/p>\n<p>Frankly, you don\u2019t even have to believe it works \u2014 like the laws of physics, if you step off a cliff, you\u2019re going to plunge to your death whether you \u201cbelieve\u201d you will or not.<\/p>\n<p>But you know what?<\/p>\n<p>You can tap into this power on a small scale online.<\/p>\n<p>And, you can do it without having to be a celebrity.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, my little droogie, you, too, can grant yourself this kind of believability and prestige when you are booked on a podcast, then that show\u2019s host talks you up and edifies you to the audience that trusts them and likes them, and then start yapping away about whatever topic it is you are an expert at. (Or even not an expert about&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p>Some podcast audiences are small.<\/p>\n<p>Some are big.<\/p>\n<p>And, some are huge.<\/p>\n<p>But big, small, or huge \u2014 they all have audiences of some kind. And to those audiences, you will have a certain level of authority and influence.<\/p>\n<p>What you do with those precious gifts is up to you.<\/p>\n<p>The vast majority of people squander them.<\/p>\n<p>They natter on about whatever, with no plan on how to answer questions so people can\u2019t stop listening\u2026 with no plan on how to plug their URL at the end to build their lists\u2026 and no plan on the multiple ways each interview can be turned into both new opt-ins and new sales they would never get otherwise.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s where the March \u201cEmail Players\u201d shows up on stage with its own mic.<\/p>\n<p>It spends a lot of time showing how any business \u2014 big, small, or raw, wriggling newbie \u2014 can:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">1. Get booked on all the podcasts you want (including big shows)<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">2. Behave so people are more likely to listen to you and connect with you and want to hear more from you<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">3.
