{"id":13474,"date":"2019-02-26T08:04:49","date_gmt":"2019-02-26T16:04:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/?p=13474"},"modified":"2019-02-26T08:04:49","modified_gmt":"2019-02-26T16:04:49","slug":"how-to-turn-podcasts-you-are-interviewed-on-into-money-in-the-piggy-bank","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/how-to-turn-podcasts-you-are-interviewed-on-into-money-in-the-piggy-bank\/","title":{"rendered":"How To Turn Podcasts You Are Interviewed On Into Money In The Piggy Bank"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last month I mentioned a book I had read called:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u201cMy First Million\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s by the great Matt Furey and, one of the (many) valuable lessons in that book isn\u2019t even necessarily taught in it, it\u2019s something you can observe when you hold it in your hot little hands.<\/p>\n<p>And that valuable lesson is, the entire book is one long interview transcript.<\/p>\n<p>Some people (especially review trolls) whine about books that are interviews.<\/p>\n<p>But, ignore those scoffers.<\/p>\n<p>Those are almost always losers who know they are never going to implement anything they learn or leave their mom&#8217;s basements (literally or figuratively, or both&#8230;), and so they blame the format of what they read on their failure to act, instead of their own inner-laziness &amp; self-loathing psyches that are the true culprits keeping them down.<\/p>\n<p>More:<\/p>\n<p>I have entire books that are essentially just interviews (either me being interviewed or me interviewing other people), that continue to bring my sometimes-righteously obnoxious self many new names on my email list, many new sales, and many new business opportunities, and have for years.<\/p>\n<p>Still more:<\/p>\n<p>Turning podcasts you are interviewed on into books is just one of many ways to monetize and get lots of long term list-building \u201cmileage\u201d out of shows you are interviewed on.
