A cheap trick and a cheesy one-liner?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><strong>\u2014 The Villainess Brandt<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>\u201cIronman 3\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>One of the most entertaining business-related parts of the holidays is watching all the abysmally awful marketing &amp; copywriting going on.<\/p>\n<p>The neediness.<\/p>\n<p>The desperation.<\/p>\n<p>The begging\u2026<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s morbidly fascinating to watch in the same way it&#8217;s morbidly fascinating to hear about a social media &#8220;influencer&#8221; desperate for attention and likes will plunge to their death from a cliff to get that perfect selfie for Instagram.<\/p>\n<p>On a not-entirely-unrelated note:<\/p>\n<p>I got an email from an \u201cEmail Players\u201d subscriber earlier this morning who has been using exactly what I am teaching in the January \u201cEmail Players\u201d issue to generate quite a bit of the green stuff &#8211; to the tune of 7 figures &#8211; in his world. He also teaches it to his private clients, and a few others who understand \u201cnuance\u201d (as he said &#8211; a perfect way to put it) he knows. But, there are others he purposely doesn\u2019t bother teaching it too. And the reason why he doesn\u2019t teach it is because he knows \u2014 as I also have been warning in some of these emails over the last few days \u2014 most will treat it like a cheesy dating line.<\/p>\n<p>Thus, he said he is a bit bummed I am teaching it.<\/p>\n<p>He knows it will be completely butchered by the majority of \u201conline marketers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And he is 100% right, too.<\/p>\n<p>It is astonishing how stupid the average internet marketer &amp; copywriter is.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s why 90% of them are either broke or figuratively \u201cliving on the run\u201d \u2014 one failed launch or JV away from being on the street. Because they chase \u201chacks\u201d before seeking wisdom. Care more about building a swipe file than building a business. And are the types who, even if they learn legitimate copywriting &amp; marketing tactics like what I got cooking up in the January issue, will completely abuse and misuse the info. They are too stupid to think beyond the next sale &amp; too small thinking to realize building a business on mere \u201ctransactions\u201d vs relationships first is a recipe for working harder and making less profit.<\/p>\n<p>Which brings me to the rub:<\/p>\n<p>Like I told him in my reply:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cI see-sawed on whether to teach it at all, but if I don\u2019t do it to my list, some scum bag goo-roo on social media with the wrong intentions who treats it \u2014 as you said \u2014 like a cheesy dating line, will first.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Whatever the case,\u00a0let\u2019s tie this bag up.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline to get the January issue is in just a few short hours.<\/p>\n<p>After that, too late, Pokey.<\/p>\n<p>And, as always, no exceptions will be made.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the merry, jingling &amp; jangling link:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.EmailPlayers.com\"><strong>www.EmailPlayers.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ben Settle<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u201cIs that all you\u2019ve got?
