Al Gore’s in the newz again.<\/p>\n
Apparently, some dude in Alaska just made a giant ice statue of him. I guess there are folks living in record freezing cold temperatures who don’t take Al’s “sky is falling” global warming claims very seriously.<\/p>\n
Can’t say I blame them, either.<\/p>\n
You know, I used to find Al Gore and his drama queen ways amusing.<\/p>\n
But now he just sounds like a really bad carnival barker trying to push a flawed product on everyone who walks by.<\/p>\n
Whatever the case… as much as I despise<\/em> what Gore stands for, there’s one thing he has that — as a marketer — I think is really cool:<\/p>\n A passionate following.<\/strong><\/p>\n I mean, there are legions<\/em> of people who believe everything Gore says without question. <\/p>\n And for Al, selling to people like that should be like shooting fish in a barrel.<\/p>\n Frankly, if he lost everything — like access to his gas-guzzling private jets and his energy-hogging mansion — he’d be set for the rest of his life simply selling books and videos about whatever theory he can dream up to this following.<\/p>\n And you know what?<\/p>\n You and I can do the same thing.<\/p>\n And, we can do it without the former VP’s “hype and awe” tactics.<\/p>\n The key is to attract and cultivate a relationship with a following who truly BELIEVES<\/strong> in your product, service or business.<\/p>\n I’m not just talking about customers and clients here.<\/p>\n I’m talking about true believers<\/em>.<\/strong><\/p>\n Those who will “evangelize” for you to everyone they know.<\/p>\n Do that and you will have not just a list… but a “super list.”<\/p>\n A list of people who will never question<\/em> you. <\/p>\n Never abandon<\/em> you.<\/p>\n And who will, in fact, defend your every deed — and become your best sales<\/em> people.<\/p>\n Get yourself customers like that, and you almost can’t lose.<\/p>\n Speaking of customers…<\/p>\n If you haven’t gotten on the “Copywriting Grab Bag” discount notification list<\/a><\/strong>, there’s still time.<\/p>\n No… it won’t save the world from global warming.<\/p>\n Heck, it won’t even save the world from Al Gore.<\/p>\n But it will give you tips on how to attract a cult-like following and write ads that have lots of fire, energy and “selling power” to them.<\/p>\n Important if you want to survive (and even thrive<\/em>) in the coming financial chaos:<\/p>\n Ben Settle<\/p>\n P.S.<\/strong> Someone was complaining my emails are getting too political.
