{"id":148,"date":"2008-08-16T15:32:29","date_gmt":"2008-08-16T15:32:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/how-top-marketers-sell-with-audio\/"},"modified":"2008-08-16T15:32:29","modified_gmt":"2008-08-16T15:32:29","slug":"how-top-marketers-sell-with-audio","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/how-top-marketers-sell-with-audio\/","title":{"rendered":"How Top Marketers Sell With Audio"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Got a great question from a guy using audio in his marketing.<\/p>\n<p>He put together an awesome little piece selling his service in his local community, but he wasn&#8217;t getting any action, and he couldn&#8217;t figure out why.<\/p>\n<p>He knows audio works (it&#8217;s used by everyone from <strong>Ken McCarthy<\/strong> to sell his $2,000+ <em><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thesystemseminar.com\/130-10.html\">System Seminar<\/a><\/strong><\/em> each year&#8230; to <strong>Dan Kennedy<\/strong> selling his &#8220;flagship&#8221; <em>Magnetic Marketing<\/em> system&#8230; to <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.affiliatetrumpcard.com\">affiliate marketers<\/a><\/strong> who just want to beef up their sales and stick out from the crowd).<\/p>\n<p>Even so&#8230; it just wasn&#8217;t happening for this guy.<\/p>\n<p>So he let me listen and, while it&#8217;s truly a great audio piece, it&#8217;s still missing one huge, critical element.<\/p>\n<p>An element I suspect will turn it from a selling &#8220;dud&#8221; to a selling &#8220;stud&#8221; as soon as he implements it.<\/p>\n<p>What is it missing?<\/p>\n<p>Making an OFFER at the end.<\/p>\n<p>Not just plugging his service (although that is a &#8220;must.&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p><strong>But giving someone a <em>reason<\/em> to act\/buy\/order NOW.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fact is, these audio sales letters are exactly like text sales letters &#8212; just in different &#8220;<em>clothes<\/em>&#8221; (so to speak).<\/p>\n<p>And, just like with a regular sales letter, it&#8217;s extremely important to include a reason to buy now &#8212; and not put it off until later.<\/p>\n<p>It can be any &#8220;excuse&#8221; to act you want &#8212; exclusive bonuses, scarcity, time-limited discount, etc<\/p>\n<p>The important thing is you give them a reason to order right NOW.<\/p>\n<p>Otherwise, your listeners probably won&#8217;t do anything.<\/p>\n<p>Ben<\/p>\n<p><strong>P.S.<\/strong> If you&#8217;re interested in audio marketing (and I think <em>everyone<\/em> should be doing it, personally), Michael Senoff and I put together an <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.BenSettle.com\/audio\">80-minute lesson<\/a><\/strong> we give away <em>free<\/em> at:<\/p>\n<p><center><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.BenSettle.com\/audio\">www.BenSettle.com\/audio<\/a><\/strong><\/center><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s mostly about using audio to create info products.
