And when I do it&#8217;s usually on the back end.  <\/p>\n<p>But this last round of JV&#8217;s has caused a problem:<\/p>\n<p>Suddenly lots of other people are pitching me to JV now, too.<\/p>\n<p>Which is perfectly fine, by the way.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s wise to approach people who are <em>actively<\/em> doing affiliate offers since they are the ones most likely to be interested in JV&#8217;ing with you.<\/p>\n<p>Even so, I must make something clear:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Doing these JV&#8217;s is not &#8220;business as usual&#8221; &#8217;round here. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These last few deals were for <em>specific<\/em> products people on my list had already asked about, and not me blindly throwing products out there hoping people might want.<\/p>\n<p>Take, for example, the <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.BenSettle.com\/blog\/scott-haines-copywriting-interview\" rel=\"noopener\">Scott Haines copywriting offer<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Lots of people have asked about an &#8220;A to Z&#8221; copywriting course.<\/p>\n<p>And Scott&#8217;s course is one I&#8217;d actually <em>lobbied<\/em> him to sell about a year ago &#8212; mostly due to his reputation as a teacher and because his system is far more affordable than other courses from people of his caliber (he was <strong>personally trained by Gary Halbert<\/strong> and his client base includes &#8220;heavy hitters&#8221; like<strong> Jay Abraham<\/strong> and <strong>Donald Trump<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>You can read about it here (it ends tomorrow):<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.BenSettle.com\/blog\/scott-haines-copywriting-interview\" rel=\"noopener\">www.BenSettle.com\/blog\/scott-haines-copywriting-interview<\/a><\/div>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>So anyway, here&#8217;s the point:<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re one of the people who recently approached me to JV, don&#8217;t take it personally if I passed on your offer. <\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not being a jerk or whatever. <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s simply that my relationship with my list is priority #1 and everything else (including the almighty sale) is a distant <em>second<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, I know that&#8217;s not what&#8217;s taught at &#8220;goo-roo school.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But, as I keep telling people, I&#8217;m no goo-roo.<\/p>\n<p>Nor do I <em>play<\/em> one on the Internet.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Settle<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lately I&#8217;ve been doing more joint ventures than usual.
