In fact, below are a few you may want to <strong>ESPECIALLY<\/strong> avoid if you want to be taken seriously by anyone but the most rabid, &#8220;frothing-at-the-mouth&#8221; prospects (i.e. the ones who&#8217;d jump off a bridge if their favorite goo-roo said they tested it and it works).<\/p>\n<p>Here goes&#8230;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using &#8220;I just got off the phone with&#8221; in an affiliate offer when you didn&#8217;t get off the phone with anyone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Putting &#8220;Re:&#8221; in front of every. single. email (what&#8217;swith these people?)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Selling traffic related courses with JV&#8217;s being your sole source of traffic (hat tip to <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.terrydean.org\" rel=\"noopener\">Terry Dean<\/a><\/strong> for bringing up this one on Twitter a couple weeks ago)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Claiming there is an obviously inflated number of people on tele-seminars to give the illusion of &#8220;social proof&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Asking people to JV with you with a lame form email that&#8217;s obviously not personal (I guess in goo-roo land you can just cut and paste your way to success?)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Blatantly swiping (word for word) every ad with a pulse<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sending people to blog posts and forums to talk up what a swell chap you are (the ultimate epitome of lameness)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Holy shnikes &#8212; I could go on and on with this.<\/p>\n<p>These are just a FEW that people have told me about lately.  It&#8217;s a good thing I&#8217;m not actually on any goo-roo lists, otherwise methinks this would be a VERY long email!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I&#8217;m not one to tell people what to do.<\/p>\n<p>If the goo-roo shoe fits, by all means wear it.<\/p>\n<p>But people who do this stuff &#8220;because the goo-roos do&#8221; are kinda like the wannabe bad-boys in high school who wore sunglasses at night to parties.  <\/p>\n<p>Amusing&#8230; but lame.<\/p>\n<p>And, eventually, easily <em>ignored<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Settle<\/p>\n<p><strong>P.S.<\/strong> There&#8217;s really no reason to dabble with the dorky goo-roo fanboy tricks.
