{"id":3118,"date":"2013-02-02T06:00:12","date_gmt":"2013-02-02T14:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/?p=3118"},"modified":"2013-02-02T06:00:12","modified_gmt":"2013-02-02T14:00:12","slug":"how-to-curve-sales-letter-bullets-like-a-wanted-assassin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/how-to-curve-sales-letter-bullets-like-a-wanted-assassin\/","title":{"rendered":"How To &#8220;Curve&#8221; Sales Letter Bullets Like A Wanted Assassin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I had a total &#8220;nerdgasm&#8221; recently.<\/p>\n<p>I was re-watching the movie &#8220;Wanted&#8221; &#8212; which is (loosely) based on the comic book about a wimpy office worker who discovers he&#8217;s part of a long family line of professional assassins.<\/p>\n<p>Awesome flick.<\/p>\n<p>Heck, the ending one-liner ALONE is worth the price of admission.<\/p>\n<p>But here&#8217;s the really cool part about it:<\/p>\n<p>One of these assassins&#8217; &#8220;powers&#8221; is the ability to curve bullets (midair) around other objects.<\/p>\n<p>In other words&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Instead of shooting the bullet in a straight line, they can manipulate it to go wherever they want.<\/p>\n<p>(Like around buildings, people, furniture, etc).<\/p>\n<p>And you know what?<\/p>\n<p>I couldn&#8217;t help but think how dead on accurate a metaphor that was for writing sales letter bullets, too.
