{"id":312,"date":"2008-08-22T17:35:15","date_gmt":"2008-08-22T17:35:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/?p=312"},"modified":"2008-08-22T17:35:15","modified_gmt":"2008-08-22T17:35:15","slug":"sales-letter-design-questions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/sales-letter-design-questions\/","title":{"rendered":"Sales Letter Design Questions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Just a heads up:<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m going to be interviewing a top direct response marketing <em>designer<\/em> for my site.<\/p>\n<p>This is something I&#8217;ve been keen on doing for a LONG time, now.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Because, even though you won&#8217;t hear it talked about much in the copywriting &#8220;echo chambers&#8221;, design has HUGE implications on your advertising.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bencivengabullets.com\" rel=\"noopener\">Gary Bencivenga<\/a><\/strong> (universally considered the world&#8217;s <em>greatest<\/em> living copywriter) spends a LOT of time in his $5k seminar JUST on design&#8230; and how important it&#8217;s been to his successes.<\/p>\n<p>Which is why I&#8217;ve been looking for a savvy direct response designer to interview for months now.<\/p>\n<p>Luckily, one found me \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>This man (I won&#8217;t name him yet, it&#8217;s a surprise) has worked on direct marketing projects with world-class, &#8220;A-List&#8221; copywriters <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dougdanna.com\" rel=\"noopener\">Doug D&#8217;Anna<\/a><\/strong> and <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bly.com\/blog\" rel=\"noopener\">Bob Bly<\/a><\/strong>&#8230; as well as with prestigious clients <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.awaionline.com\" rel=\"noopener\">AWAI<\/a><\/strong> and the <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sovereignsociety.com\" rel=\"noopener\">Sovereign Society<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>He has also mentored and worked with the &#8220;magalog queen&#8221; <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.shadowoakstudio.com\" rel=\"noopener\">Lori Haller<\/a><\/strong> and the &#8220;magalog king&#8221; <strong>Rob Davis<\/strong> (two of the world&#8217;s premiere direct marketing designers).<\/p>\n<p>And he even recently had one of his postcard designs featured in <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dankennedy.com\" rel=\"noopener\">Dan Kennedy&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> &#8220;No B.S.
