{"id":3706,"date":"2010-08-26T00:00:32","date_gmt":"2010-08-26T07:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/?p=3706"},"modified":"2010-08-26T00:00:32","modified_gmt":"2010-08-26T07:00:32","slug":"robbing-the-goo-roo-train","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/robbing-the-goo-roo-train\/","title":{"rendered":"Robbing The Goo-roo Train"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sometimes people dog me about not being specific.<\/p>\n<p>By that I mean, I will sometimes give the names of products, resources and people who I think can benefit you&#8230; but never talk against specific products, resources of people who I think are a waste of your time and money.<\/p>\n<p>Why do I do that?<\/p>\n<p>Why withhold the dirt?<\/p>\n<p>Would you believe it&#8217;s because I want to <em>help<\/em> people?<\/p>\n<p>Sounds strange, doesn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p>But it&#8217;s absolutely true.<\/p>\n<p>You see, sometimes you have to buy a few bad products (and experience just how revolting some of these goo-roo products smell) before you can truly appreciate the aroma of the quality stuff.<\/p>\n<p>That was definitely the case with me.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I was the <em>poster child<\/em> for buying bad products.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>And I wasted a LOT of dough, too.<\/p>\n<p>But I would not trade that experience for the world.<\/p>\n<p>Why?<\/p>\n<p>Because I had to see a bunch of BAD products (and fall for some hype) before having the discernment to figure out what the GOOD stuff is (and who the good people are).<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s kind of like when I took a cross country train trip.<\/p>\n<p>I was REAL excited to do it.<\/p>\n<p>I thought it&#8217;d be super coolness.<\/p>\n<p>But, guess what?<\/p>\n<p>It was one of the most MISERABLE few days of my life!<\/p>\n<p>And when I was later talking to my aunt (who does a TON of traveling) about it she said it best: &#8220;Yeah Ben, well, you had to do it once just to know not to ever do it again!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So true.<\/p>\n<p>So very, very true.<\/p>\n<p>And it&#8217;s the same with buying bad products.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes people get &#8220;analysis paralysis&#8221; when buying even really inexpensive products.  &#8220;How do I know it will do what it says?&#8221; &#8220;What if it doesn&#8217;t work right?&#8221;  &#8220;What if it doesn&#8217;t work and I look like an idiot?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>So what?<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not the end of the world.<\/p>\n<p>And maybe you ask for your money back.<\/p>\n<p>But you gotta kiss a lot of toads to get the princess.<\/p>\n<p>So might as well <em>pucker<\/em> up.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Settle<\/p>\n<p><strong>P.S.<\/strong> The next issue of <strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.CryptoMarketing.com\" rel=\"noopener\">The Crypto Marketing Newsletter<\/a><\/strong> goes to print early next week.
