For the past few months, I’ve been creating a special list.<\/p>\n
Specifically, a list of lame refund excuses.<\/p>\n
It’s sort of a hobby of mine. Normal people collect stamps, or baseball cards, or comic books or whatever… but I collect refund excuses.<\/p>\n
I just find them so… amusing<\/em>.<\/p>\n In fact, here are 3 of my favorites:<\/p>\n “MY WIFE IS MAKING ME…”<\/strong><\/p>\n (Maybe someone should sac up and take the skirt off, son?)<\/p>\n “I ALREADY HAVE A LOT OF PRODUCTS LIKE THIS…” <\/strong><\/p>\n (So why did you buy this one? Duh…)<\/p>\n “I REALIZED I DON’T WANT TO LEARN THIS…” <\/strong><\/p>\n (Isn’t that like signing up for a gym to get in shape, then after using the equipment, showers, lockers and personal training advice, deciding you want liposuction and demanding a refund?)<\/p>\n Oh well.<\/p>\n Like I said, I find these kind of amusing.<\/p>\n But also kind of useful<\/em>, too.<\/p>\n How?<\/p>\n Because it shows the mindset of the kind of customer every single marketer (in my humble, but arrogant, opinion) should avoid like the PLAGUE — and do everything in your power to turn OFF in your advertising.<\/p>\n I mean, why encourage ’em?<\/p>\n Just something to think about.<\/p>\n You can see how I do it sometimes in “Email Players.”<\/p>\n Many of my emails repulse certain people.<\/p>\n (In fact, this email is doing just that…)<\/p>\n And it’s (usually) by design.<\/p>\n Here’s where to subscribe:<\/p>\n
