One of my favorite books is “The Game.”<\/p>\n
It’s by writer Neil Strauss and it’s about how he went from someone who was basically a “girl repellant” to being one of the most famous guys in the entire pick-up artist community.<\/p>\n
Very good book.<\/p>\n
And, for marketers, it’s especially useful.<\/p>\n
No… it’s not a “how to” book or anything like that.<\/p>\n
But, there are many “how to” lessons embedded within its hallowed pages for the eager marketer wanting to write better emails, ads, etc.<\/p>\n
One of my favorites is “peakcocking theory.”<\/strong><\/p>\n The “what” theory?<\/p>\n Peacocking theory, stud.<\/p>\n This is where you wear something outlandish or “showy” (like a pair of gold shoes, a big weird looking hat, an obnoxious glowing necklace, whatever you want) that makes you stick out and differentiate yourself from all the other guys in the club.<\/p>\n The chicks dig it.<\/p>\n And it works especially<\/em> well in marketing, too.<\/p>\n This is one reason I mail DAILY.<\/p>\n It’s the ultimate “peacocking” online.<\/p>\n Yes, it makes you look weird to the masses.<\/p>\n But it makes you stick out.<\/p>\n It makes you the ONLY person getting any real attention.<\/p>\n (If you do it right, at least…)<\/p>\n And it increases your chances of, uhm, scoring.<\/p>\n Anyway, something to think about.<\/p>\n If you want to get real good at this sort of thing (using email to stick out) then gird up your loins for the “Email Players” launch on Thursday.<\/p>\n My guys (and gals) will have a serious advantage.<\/p>\n Plus, launch day subscribers get in at a discount.<\/p>\n For more details, go to:<\/p>\n
