Let’s have a bit of fun today.<\/p>\n
A few of my recent emails (specifically the ones when I was doing that “Copywriting Grab Bag” birthday sale) have gotten some very interesting feedback.<\/p>\n
Some of it good.<\/p>\n
Some of it nasty (yeah!)<\/p>\n
And some of it… awesome.<\/p>\n
Including a couple cool-cat testimonials, like the one from Michael Masterson (who I’ve been a huge fan of for years). And another from copywriter Mary Rose Maguire which was tongue-in-cheek.<\/p>\n
But, at the same time, one of my favorites.<\/p>\n
She said (in a linkedin group for copywriters):<\/p>\n
“I’d run away with him\u00a0if I wasn’t already married,\u00a0was 15 years younger,\u00a0and looked like Scarlett Johansson.”<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Ha.<\/p>\n
Hey, that’s how it’s done, ladies.<\/p>\n
Hope you’re taking notes.<\/p>\n
Remember, flattery WILL get you everywhere.<\/p>\n
(So will food, gifts and, yes, cash…)<\/p>\n

Recently I’ve been getting asked about consulting.<\/p>\n
Do I do it?<\/p>\n
And, how much does it cost?<\/p>\n
The answer is yes.<\/p>\n
And the cost is… pricey.<\/p>\n
A cool $500 per hour.<\/p>\n
But, I daresay it’s worth it.<\/p>\n
In fact, Jonathan Rivera told me he did his first $1,000 day after taking the advice I gave him in a recent consulting session.<\/p>\n
Not too shabby, eh?<\/p>\n
No promises of results for you, of course.<\/p>\n
So let’s not get nutzo here.<\/p>\n
But, it’s proof I ain’t just whistin’ dixie when consulting.<\/p>\n
