Specifically, I’m talking about people who ask me questions about how to sell online without selling (wtf does that even mean???) It’s like people still think “selling” is a dirty word — sort of like the “F-word” of business.<\/p>\n
I can kinda see why, though.<\/p>\n
Especially with all the shady “persuasion” tricks out there.<\/p>\n
It reminds me of the old TV show “The Munsters.”<\/p>\n
The whole family were basically monsters — like Frankenstein, the were-wolf, the ghoul, dracula, etc. And whenever the mailman or the water meter guy or whoever popped in they’d get freaked out by the look of them.<\/p>\n
Because they LOOKED like monsters.<\/strong><\/p>\n Except, of course, for the blonde hottie cousin living with them —<\/p>\n Marilyn.<\/p>\n Everyone liked and trusted her.<\/p>\n Nobody was scared of her.<\/p>\n And, people liked her.<\/p>\n Why?<\/p>\n Because in that family she looked like a nice, normal person — not a monster.<\/p>\n And that’s how selling is, too.<\/p>\n You can use the lame manipulation, gimmicky, hype-filled tactics everyone on the Internet uses and come off as a monster.<\/p>\n Or, you can be like the blonde chick in the Munsters:<\/p>\n Inviting.<\/p>\n Attractive.<\/p>\n And EASY (to talk and do business with).<\/p>\n That’s why email is so effective.<\/p>\n Even if you succumb to goo-rooitis and put up a hype filled nonsensical sales page that turns off cold prospects (or if you’re selling as an affiliate and you have no control over the sales page) it don’t matter.<\/p>\n Your emails do all the heavy lifting.<\/p>\n Many won’t even read the sales page.<\/p>\n Test it yourself and see, amigo.<\/p>\n Go here to see how it’s done:<\/p>\n
