All weekend I was pitching my Copywriting Grab Bag product.<\/p>\n
And, I did it via email.<\/p>\n
And, I did it during the Super Bowl.<\/p>\n
And, apparently (didn’t even know this until someone asked) I did it during a weekend when Dan Kennedy was having a sale on his copywriting course.<\/p>\n
But you know what?<\/p>\n
I got about 3x’s the number of sales I usually get with these sales.<\/p>\n
Why?<\/p>\n
What gives?<\/p>\n
Well, I dunno.<\/p>\n
I used (mostly) the same emails I ALWAYS use.<\/p>\n
So, I chalk it up to my email system.<\/p>\n
In fact, here’s a comment from one of my email students this weekend:<\/p>\n
YOU know Ben I’ve told you…<\/strong><\/p>\n
People, if they were smart, (and I’m not sure they are) could learn a lot just from reading your misspelled, funny, analogy laden emails.<\/strong><\/p>\n
Seriously…<\/strong><\/p>\n
I’m amazed.<\/strong><\/p>\n
I can’t believe that people would BITCH at you misspelling a word, like a Nazi, or complaining about the content. I mean where is the fun in READING for correctness? Hell if that’s the case, go to college and be a teacher.<\/strong><\/p>\n
Yeah the emails are corny at times, and sometimes I think you’re on drugs because sometimes I’m like, “What they hell is he talking about”, but they WORK.<\/strong><\/p>\n
I mean – I’m writing you, so they must work. :0)<\/strong><\/p>\n
And I’m making about $1,000 a month writing them so the investment has paid off, and will continue to pay off for the rest of my life, so I’m happy, happy, happy about that.<\/strong><\/p>\n
