{"id":6918,"date":"2013-03-06T06:00:00","date_gmt":"2013-03-06T14:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/?p=6918"},"modified":"2013-03-06T06:00:00","modified_gmt":"2013-03-06T14:00:00","slug":"anklebiting-social-media-comments","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/anklebiting-social-media-comments\/","title":{"rendered":"Anklebiting Social Media Comments"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One funny quirk of human nature is people often &#8220;project&#8221; their fears, insecurities, thoughts and feelings onto others.<\/p>\n<p>This happens so frequently it&#8217;s astounding.<\/p>\n<p>And, this is especially true online.<\/p>\n<p>(Where people can air their opinions about you, your products, your motives, etc safely behind their computers.)<\/p>\n<p>Case in point:<\/p>\n<p>I recently read a joke:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>&#8220;She told me she&#8217;d like to &#8216;sink in my arms.&#8217; I told her I&#8217;d rather her arms were in the sink.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I thought that hilarious.<\/p>\n<p>Literally laughed out loud.<\/p>\n<p>So to share the fun I posted it to a social media site.<\/p>\n<p>But, not everyone agreed with it being funny.<\/p>\n<p>Most did, of course.<\/p>\n<p>(Hey, it IS funny&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p>But a couple mush cookies suggested I had &#8220;anger issues.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Interesting, eh?<\/p>\n<p>I mean, let&#8217;s face it:<\/p>\n<p>It takes a mighty rationalization hamster to conclude that.<\/p>\n<p>Plus, consider the source:<\/p>\n<p>I know for a fact the guy who said it has been pretty much crapped on by women he&#8217;s loved in his life.
