Let me tell you about a girl I used to date.<\/p>\n

She had graduated from a business school somewhere, and she somehow thought this made her opinion useful to me. When, in reality, practically every idea, solution and opinion she had about my emails, my website, the way I conduct business… all of it… was dead wrong.<\/p>\n

At first, it was amusing.<\/p>\n

But soon, it got annoying.<\/p>\n

Until one day, I had an idea for making her opinion useful.<\/p>\n

What I would do is, I would ask her what she thought of an email I was going to send to my list… or an ad headline… or a product idea I cooked up, etc.<\/p>\n

And then… I would do the exact opposite<\/span>!<\/strong><\/p>\n

And it worked!<\/p>\n

I demonstrably<\/span> profited from it.<\/p>\n

Now, it took her a while to catch on.<\/p>\n

And let’s just say she was none too happy with yours truly when she did. “Ben, why do you bother asking me my opinion if you’re just going to do the opposite!”<\/em><\/p>\n

Heh.<\/p>\n

Anyway, moral of the story?<\/span><\/p>\n

If you know a business school grad, get their opinion.<\/p>\n

Do the opposite.<\/p>\n

And watch what happens.<\/p>\n
