Case in point:<\/p>\n
I’ve gotten my share of pointless questions, inane comments, and troll grunting. Usually I just delete them. But, today I decided to collect some together for shitz & giggles so I could share them with the Ben Settle Brigade.<\/p>\n
If nothing else, you may get a chuckle.<\/p>\n
And, hopefully, people will think before pushing “send.”<\/p>\n
But first, here’s how I define a dumb question:<\/p>\n
A question someone already knows the answer to. (Or could get it with a quick google lookup) Or, that are a result of them not reading whatever email they are responding to carefully. Or, a question someone asks to “bait” me into some idiotic debate.<\/p>\n
Here are a few examples:<\/p>\n
(Of both dumb questions & comments)<\/p>\n
“Do you think your Attorney would mind if we swiped his letter and used it to send to copyright infringers?”<\/strong> (I almost thought this was a joke… I mean, really?)<\/p>\n
“Why are you still using aweber?”<\/strong> (Why not?)<\/p>\n
“Bring it baby. Americans. Are all talk. But money buys the wisky.”<\/strong> (This chap sounds like he’s been hitting the whiskey…)<\/p>\n
Now, let me be clear about something:<\/p>\n
I am not saying these are “dumb” people.<\/p>\n
(Except probably for the whiskey chap.)<\/p>\n
But, they simply asked dumb questions. And we ALL do it from time to time. (Yes, even I ask the occasional dumb question…)<\/p>\n
So, what’s the point of this?<\/p>\n
I’m not sure there is one.<\/p>\n
I just thought it’d be funny…<\/p>\n
Speaking of questions:<\/p>\n
