With a calculator, he divided the amount of time he had\u00a0by the number of pages he had to write and spent the next four\u00a0months jumping between three different desks, putting on different\u00a0music for each script.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>So reads page 61 of a book I&#8217;m reading called:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>&#8220;James Cameron Interviews&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not the most exciting title.<\/p>\n<p>But it&#8217;s about an exciting dude &#8212; James Cameron.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s the guy behind such kick gluteus assimus movies as the first\u00a0two &#8220;Terminator&#8221; movies, Aliens, and True Lies &#8212; all huge\u00a0Hollywood blockbusters (he also did Titanic and Avatar which, while\u00a0I was kinda bored by Titanic and thought Avatar dorky, I can&#8217;t\u00a0argue with their results &#8212; the two highest grossing movies in\u00a0history).<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, I&#8217;m a big fan of the guy&#8217;s writing.<\/p>\n<p>His work ethic.<\/p>\n<p>And, especially, his &#8220;the beatings will continue until morale\u00a0improves&#8221; style of leadership.<\/p>\n<p>But mostly, I like his work ethic.<\/p>\n<p>And, his philosophy of not being a perfectionist, but a &#8220;greatest.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>(i.e. &#8220;I only want to do something until it&#8217;s great&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, why am I bringing this up?<\/p>\n<p>Because this is exactly the attitude to have if you want to kick a\u00a0lot of booTAY in email marketing.<\/p>\n<p>Forget perfectionism.<\/p>\n<p>Forget trying to please others.<\/p>\n<p>And, yes, forget trying to be &#8220;liked&#8221; (nobody likes Cameron &#8212;\u00a0actors would go home crying, crew members would accuse him of\u00a0abuse, and he even once made his own brother, in the movie &#8220;The\u00a0Abyss&#8221;, shoot a scene 25-feet underwater, eyes open, with a live\u00a0crab in his mouth just to get the perfect realistic shot of a\u00a0corpse with a crab crawling out of its mouth&#8230;the joke about James\u00a0Cameron&#8217;s dictator-style on set was &#8220;I&#8217;m letting you breathe, what\u00a0more do you want?&#8221;)<\/p>\n<p>Forget all that.<\/p>\n<p>I have always admired James Cameron&#8217;s work ethic.<\/p>\n<p>His drive to write cool stories.<\/p>\n<p>(Even if they weren&#8217;t all cool &#8212; i.e. &#8220;Avatar&#8221;, and the end of\u00a0&#8220;The Abyss&#8221; was about as lame as it gets).<\/p>\n<p>And, his desire to be great at what he does.<\/p>\n<p>And you know what else?<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">These are the kind of <em>customers<\/em> I like, too<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Guys and gals who are action-takers.<\/p>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<p>I have talked to a lot of &#8220;Email Players&#8221; subscribers. Especially\u00a0the ones who have been with me since its launch in August 2011\u00a0(going on 3 years straight now).
