{"id":8761,"date":"2014-07-24T06:30:33","date_gmt":"2014-07-24T13:30:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/?p=8761"},"modified":"2014-07-24T06:30:33","modified_gmt":"2014-07-24T13:30:33","slug":"grim-reaper-gobbledygook","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bensettle.com\/blog\/grim-reaper-gobbledygook\/","title":{"rendered":"Grim Reaper Gobbledygook"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p><strong>Your similitudes are a trifle earthy, but your meaning is clear<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8211; Mr. Brink<\/strong><br \/>\n<em><strong>On Borrowed Time<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>One of my favorite &#8220;Sunday night insomnia&#8221; movies is:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>&#8220;On Borrowed Time&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s kinda like a &#8220;Twighlight Zone&#8221; tale.<\/p>\n<p>Basically, it&#8217;s about this old man who tricks the grim reaper up\u00a0into his apple tree on his property, and traps him there (with all\u00a0the repercussions of such a thing having to be dealt with &#8212;\u00a0nothing and nobody dying, etc).<\/p>\n<p>End spoiler.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s why I bring it up:<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Brink (the grim reaper) is talking to the old man&#8217;s grandson\u00a0who likes to make up words on the spot.
