Let me tell you a story.<\/p>\n
About 14 years ago, I got interested in a certain ancestor (great\u00a0grandfather) who was like someone out of a movie — professional\u00a0adventurer, soldier, gunman, Rough Rider for Teddy Roosevelt,\u00a0master of fighting with a saber, etc — and he had written about\u00a0all his adventures (and misadventures) in a local magazine in\u00a0Kentucky.<\/p>\n
Anyway, his obit had a weird section in it.<\/p>\n
Specifically, how he was in a group called:<\/p>\n
“The Odd Fellows”<\/strong><\/p>\n That sounded like kind of a strange name.<\/p>\n So, I looked it up.<\/p>\n Turns out the Odd Fellows are a not-so-secret society of people who\u00a0basically want to help their fellow mankind via various selfless\u00a0acts and charitable ways using their own time, money, and resources\u00a0(i.e. they really do want to help “the children”, the poor, and\u00a0others who need help, not just use them to get elected).<\/p>\n Thus, they were called “odd fellows.”<\/p>\n It’s no different in the bid’niz world.<\/p>\n It’s my opinion (and I’m right) just being in business (even if you\u00a0are new, and have not yet reached any kind of financial or job\u00a0freedom yet) makes you (yes, you, babycakes) and Odd Fellow as far\u00a0as the rest of the population is concerned.<\/p>\n Just something to think about, amigo.<\/p>\n If you’re in bid’niz pat yourself on the back.<\/p>\n You’re truly an “odd fellow” in that sense.<\/p>\n And, it’s something I talk at length about tomorrow in “The Ben\u00a0Settle Show” podcast.<\/p>\n Watch for my signal tomorrow.<\/p>\n Download past shows here:<\/p>\n
