We. GO &#8212;<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Myth #1: Value Is King<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bzzzt!<\/p>\n<p>True, value is important.<\/p>\n<p>And we should deliver loads of it.<\/p>\n<p>But is it &#8220;king&#8221;?<\/p>\n<p>If it is, then it must be hiding amongst the peasants.<\/p>\n<p>Because there are millions of people delivering value on the Internet right now who still can&#8217;t sell a single blessed copy of their product or minute of their time. I know I spent many years delivering value with very little to show for it. And if value is &#8220;king&#8221;, all the hyper value providers would be rich beyond their wildest dreams.<\/p>\n<p>But most ain&#8217;t.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, many are struggling.<\/p>\n<p>(And, wondering why&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Myth #2: Content Is King<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ditto #1.<\/p>\n<p>There are lots of people working like mules putting out massive amounts of valuable content each day who STILL haven&#8217;t made much of the green stuff. If content was the end-all-be-all, then all of these people would be swimming in the dough like Scrooge McDuck in his big money vault.<\/p>\n<p>But they&#8217;re not swimming in money.<\/p>\n<p>Many are drowning in debt.<\/p>\n<p>Because again, while content IS important, it&#8217;s not king.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Myth #3: Copy Is King<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No matter what a chest-beating copywriter says\u2026 copy is NOT king.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s much farther down the totem pole.<\/p>\n<p>(Like under your list, offer, and positioning for starters.)<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Myth #4: Teaching Is King<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Is it?<\/p>\n<p>We pay teachers almost nothing in our society.<\/p>\n<p>If teaching was this magical wealth-building skill, then great teachers would all be fabulously wealthy, no?<\/p>\n<p>Yes, teaching is important.<\/p>\n<p>It can do wonders for your credibility and positioning.<\/p>\n<p>But it ain&#8217;t even close to being king of persuasion.<\/p>\n<p>OK, so if the above aren\u2019t &#8220;king&#8221;, what is?<\/p>\n<p>Do you really want to know?<\/p>\n<p>You do?<\/p>\n<p>You sure?<\/p>\n<p>Okay then, my little droogling, then I got good news.<\/p>\n<p>Tomorrow&#8217;s &#8220;Ben Settle Show&#8221; episode shows you exactly what the kind of persuasion is&#8230; whether you&#8217;re selling online, offline, or on the sidelines.
