No offense but you&#8217;re kind of a narcissist on\u00a0social media, that&#8217;s my friendly opinion \ud83d\ude42 &#8220;<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Agreed.<\/p>\n<p>But don&#8217;t take it personally.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not you, it really IS me.<\/p>\n<p>You see, a little while back one of my friends urged me to take one\u00a0of those personality tests just for S&amp;G&#8217;s and turns out I&#8217;m a\u00a0dyed-in-the-wool &#8220;INTJ.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Some people had been telling me this for years.<\/p>\n<p>(Guess they were right&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re basically what a lot of movie villains are based on.<\/p>\n<p>Detached.<\/p>\n<p>Aloof.<\/p>\n<p>Always living inside our own minds.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, most Hollywood stories do evolve around an evil\u00a0villain (INTJ) threatening the old order, so a nice guy hero comes\u00a0around to save it, then everyone is happy again to preserve the\u00a0precious &#8220;status quo&#8221; which my brood tends to despise.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">We can&#8217;t be bothered by social pleasantries, either<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mindless chit-chat irritates us.<\/p>\n<p>Conversations without a purpose are a waste of time.<\/p>\n<p>And, we&#8217;re easily bored by people.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s not personal &#8212; we&#8217;re simply FAR more\u00a0interested in the endless string of random\u00a0problems\/solutions\/experiments\/questions circulating around in our\u00a0brains at any given time than making &#8220;small talk&#8221; on Facebook or\u00a0Twitter or whatever. (It&#8217;s like Ralphie in &#8220;A Christmas Story&#8221; when\u00a0he&#8217;s waiting to see Santa, his mind intensely focused on asking for\u00a0the Red Ryder BB gun and his response to the girl hitting on him in\u00a0line is&#8230; &#8220;leave me a lone, I&#8217;m&#8230; thinking&#8230;&#8221; heh)<\/p>\n<p>I suppose this carries over to social media, too.<\/p>\n<p>Frankly, I find a lot of it amusing.<\/p>\n<p>Especially the social media goo-roos with 900 photos of themselves,\u00a0with 350 videos, etc, constantly prattling on about their feelings\u00a0and being &#8220;social&#8221;, blah blah blah<\/p>\n<p>Hey, we ALL have annoying faults.<\/p>\n<p>So let me make mine abundantly clear:<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m not social.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m quite antisocial.<\/p>\n<p>Which is probably why I prefer Twitter &#8212; since it&#8217;s only 140\u00a0characters and it forces people to get to the point, with less\u00a0noise, drama queening, and grandstanding.<\/p>\n<p>So that&#8217;s the deal.<\/p>\n<p>Never take my social media aloofness personal.<\/p>\n<p>If anything, it&#8217;s all in my head&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Ben Settle<\/p>\n<p><strong>P.S.<\/strong> In my humble (but 100% biased) opinion&#8230; INTJ\u2019s make the best\u00a0email marketers, too.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ll explain why some day.<\/p>\n<p>But first, head on over to\u2026<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.EmailPlayers.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>www.EmailPlayers.com<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s a zinger of a subscriber comment&#8230; &#8220;Ben I&#8217;ve tried to befriend you on Facebook and noticed you take a\u00a0very long time to befriend me back and don&#8217;t follow very many\u00a0people on Twitter.
