Must be something in the water…<\/p>\n
Over the past few months more and more (and more) people have been\u00a0asking if I do private coaching, one-on-one coaching, or even group\u00a0coaching.<\/p>\n
Really, coaching ain’t my bag.<\/p>\n
I’m impatient.<\/p>\n
Grouchy.<\/p>\n
And have a very low tolerance for people who don’t do as I say,\u00a0when I say, and how I say to do it.<\/p>\n
“Yeah Ben, I don’t care!”<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Well, I do, my little droogling.<\/p>\n My time is el-limited-o.<\/p>\n I’m involved in 3 overheated niches (writing sales letters and\u00a0emails and other marketing pieces)… write daily for this list,\u00a0plus the monthly “Email Players” newsletter… writing and\u00a0marketing my own novels… traveling all over hell and gone to\u00a0speak and train (which will probably only increase in 2015)…\u00a0commit to a weekly podcast… have agreed to start writing\u00a0somewhat-regular articles to another (non-business) website… am\u00a0going to start multiple aggressive paid traffic campaigns for my\u00a0own site… and the list goes on.<\/p>\n What else can I say?<\/p>\n I’m booked.<\/p>\n That said:<\/p>\n I do have a copywriting apprentice.<\/p>\n And, just recently, reluctantly (reluctantly!) let a new coaching\u00a0student sneak in under the rope. But, the only reason I did that is\u00a0because I’ve met him in person during an Oceans 4 mastermind (i.e.\u00a0he paid $5k to attend) and because he’s like the “Rudy” of\u00a0marketing — low on natural talent (which we will easily fix) but\u00a0BIG on heart (which is nearly impossible to create — I’ve never\u00a0seen ANYONE as persistent as him.)<\/p>\n But, even he doesn’t get much for his money<\/span>.<\/strong><\/p>\n (Yet, is happy as a clam to get what he’s getting.)<\/p>\n In fact, while my apprentice gets all the wife (figuratively speaking)\u00a0copywriting coaching privileges and entitlements in my marketing\u00a0“harem”… my new student is merely at “concubine” status<\/span>, and gets\u00a0only a fraction<\/em> of the copywriting & marketing time, attention, and\u00a0privileges my apprentice does.<\/p>\n And make no mistake:<\/p>\n They’re both on constant “probation.”<\/p>\n If either steps out of line, makes one false move, or starts\u00a0getting pissy with me, they’re outta here.<\/p>\n And don\u2019t think they’re the first.<\/p>\n Don’t believe me?<\/p>\n Ask my apprentice, she’s almost been “fired” several times\u00a0for insubordination and not putting a tomato on my sammich.<\/p>\n (There is ZERO excuse for that.)<\/p>\n Anyway, so there will be no more coaching students.<\/p>\n The rest of my time belongs to me.<\/p>\n But, despair ye not.<\/p>\n This is why I write these emails.<\/p>\n Publish my “Email Players” newsletter.<\/p>\n And, do a weekly podcast.<\/p>\n They’re like “virtual coaching.”<\/p>\n And you know what?<\/p>\n The podcast has been especially valuable.<\/p>\n (I’ve been catching “flack” from Producer Jonathan for giving too\u00a0much away in it. And, even some listeners are getting concerned\u00a0about me due to my “no moving the freeline” attitude not lining up\u00a0with the podcast.)<\/p>\n You can download free (for now) past episodes here:<\/p>\n
