Assumption #1:<\/strong><\/p>\n
Comfort zone.<\/p>\n
Considering I also sell digital products (across multiple markets),\u00a0including a 1-click upsell after someone subscribes to “Email\u00a0Players”, he placed his foot squarely in his mouth with that one.<\/p>\n
What else can I say?<\/p>\n
Except, maybe, this is why instead he should have *asked*:<\/p>\n
“Ben, why not digital?”<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
He would have learned exactly why I make it physical (I’ve written\u00a0about this extensively on my blog), and, even more importantly, the\u00a0results of doing so.<\/p>\n
Assumption #2:<\/strong><\/p>\n
Leaving money on the table.<\/p>\n
Clearly he’s never seen my stick rates.<\/p>\n
(And didn’t bother to, you know, *ask*.)<\/p>\n
Or, others’ physical continuity vs digital stick rates.<\/p>\n
(The ones who do physical products right, at least.)<\/p>\n
Or, the results of what happened when I first launched and made\u00a0several “exceptions” for various subscribers. (HINT: With just one\u00a0exception, every. single. one. of the people I sent it to digitally\u00a0turned out to be the biggest pain in the ass customers, wasted a\u00a0lot of my time, constantly complained, and didn’t value the info\u00a0much less use it…)<\/p>\n
Assumption #3:<\/strong><\/p>\n
Old school mailing methods.<\/p>\n
He implies they don’t “work” as well.<\/p>\n

Because I’ve noticed (from selling this product for almost 4 years now)\u00a0that people who don’t ask questions before making assumptions like\u00a0this, are terrible leads for any of my products — especially\u00a0“Email Players” — and not the kind of customers I want. The fact\u00a0he thinks the old school stuff (especially physical products) is\u00a0somehow ineffective *alone* makes him a terrible prospect for\u00a0anything I sell. He’s much better off getting an epic ninja\u00a0legendary rockstar WSO or buying from the latest goo-roo launch.<\/p>\n
We’ll both be happier…<\/p>\n
