Let’s rap about Facebook ads.<\/p>\n
I’m no expert (or even an ex-spurt) on the subject. But since my FB\u00a0ad guy Shane Hunter has been running my campaigns, we’ve gotten a\u00a0lot of great traffic, lots more sales, and also a few people\u00a0thinking\u00a0we push things too far (Shane’s style is unapologetically\u00a0abrasive — not unlike my emails, they are very similar like that).<\/p>\n
Question is, are they right?<\/p>\n
Do we go too far?<\/p>\n
I don’t think so.<\/p>\n
For one, we follow FB’s rules. And for another, neither him nor any\u00a0of his clients have ever been banned (while several people I know\u00a0who play it 100% “safe” have been banned without warning or\u00a0explanation).<\/p>\n
But, what if FB did ban me?<\/strong><\/p>\n Then what?<\/p>\n Why, nothing my fine feathered droogie.<\/p>\n Facebook is just one of the concubines in my traffic “harem.” If\u00a0she leaves the harem I won’t even care. Frankly, she’s\u00a0bitchy, high maintenance, and disagreeable, anyway, with the\u00a0trigger-happy powers-that-be shutting people down for no reason as\u00a0it is. If she were to leave my harem, I’ll use what intel I’ve\u00a0taken from her (we’ve gotten a ton just in the last month) and\u00a0apply to something else (direct mail for sure — which is on\u00a0deck)… plus, she doesn’t get half my assets and I get to keep the\u00a0kids (list, branding, audience, testing results, etc I’ve gotten\u00a0from being with her).<\/p>\n The point?<\/p>\n As Dan Kennedy says:<\/p>\n “One is the most dangerous number in business.”<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n FB ain’t my only traffic source.<\/p>\n And anyone who makes it their *only* traffic source is in the same\u00a0boat as all them bigfoots who thought cheap easy broadcast fax and\u00a0900 numbers would be around forever.<\/p>\n BTW…<\/p>\n I can’t recommend Shane enough.<\/p>\n
