The following letter from my self-described “evil” attorney was sent to a so-called 7 figure earning marketer who swiped one of my emails word-for-word.
If you like to plagiarize and swipe copy, read it very carefully:
Listen up, listen good and never forget:
I have zero tolerance for people who steal my work.
It’s no different than stealing money from my back pocket.
So if I see someone stealing my emails, sales letters, content or anything else… they’ll get a letter like the one above. Except, it won’t be “gentle” like this one giving the perp a chance to mend his wicked ways.
It’ll say I’m coming after them.
(Or their ISP which will shut their site down or their auto-responder/email broadcasting service which will delete their account without warning — their entire list deleted with the push of a button).
If you like to steal copy, tread carefully.
Swiping can cost you sales.
Cause all kinds of legal problems.
And, even make you look like a dumb ass. (i.e. the 7 figure swiper’s own list ratted him out.)
Instead, write your own emails, sales copy and products.
Use your own brain.
And, use your own personality.
