Brian Kurtz kinda reminds me of King Josiah in the Old Testament.
King Josiah (or KJ as I call him) was an ancient Israelite kings.
And after a few hundreds years of it being forgotten, he rediscovered the book of the law while his high priest was renovating the temple — complete with realizing all the judgements that were about to befall the land for not following the law for so many years (worshipping other gods, pagan idolatry, setting up high places to worship false gods, etc).
Again, reminds me of what Brian Kurtz did in marketing.
He assembled all the best old school marketers.
Unearthed all kinds of lost marketing ideas.
And has forced me to rediscover and re-examine certain laws of direct response marketing — as if they’d been lost and forgotten.
It’s been both humbling and exciting.
