With the year over half way gone, I got to looking at some of the goals I publicly made in January, specifically:
- Write a sequel to my zombie book
- Start a weekly podcast
- Write 6-7 emails per week instead of 5
- Write more “How to” Kindle books
- Do more consulting type deals (like the “Oceans 4” mastermind workshop I do with Andre Chaperon, Jack Born and Ryan Levesque)
- Do more media appearances (radio and print)
- Write an email marketing book for a traditional publisher
NOTE: This list did not count the intangible goals I made — like having more patience and self discipline, yada yada yada
Anyway, guess what?
I’ve already knocked out almost all them bad-boys:
Weekly podcast?
Check.
Zombie Cop sequel?
Affirmative.
(First draft of “Vampire Apocalypse” is in the can as of a week ago — should be ready before Christmas, and make a great “stocking stuffer”…)
Write 6-7 emails per week instead of just 5?
Yeppers.
(Sometimes I even do more than 7…)
Do more consulting-type deals?
You bet your gluteus assimus — although I changed this to public speaking. (i.e. Spoke at the “No Excuses Summit” in Vegas at the end of June, and speaking again at another event in Phoenix in November for Greg Gomez III, plus doing a special training for a mastermind group in Florida for Ray Higdon at the end of October).
As for the rest?
The 3 I haven’t done (yet) are:
(1) Write more how-to Kindle books… (2) do more mainstream media appearances… and (3) write a book about email marketing for a traditional publisher.
But, it ain’t no big thing.
Two of those 3 I decided not to pursue.
Mainstream media ain’t nearly as profitable as doing podcast interviews (which I have done more of this year). And a traditional publisher? Why bother? Much more fun self publishing, and I don’t really care about having the prestige of being published by a traditional publisher.
What about you?
You aggressively going after your 2014 goals?
No?
What the hellz the matter with you.
Time is passing anyway.
Might as well DO something with it…
Oh, one more thing.
About writing more “how to” Kindle books…
Not sure I’ll reach this goal.
But to see the 16 books I have there now, check out:
